J.I. Packer, an editor of Christianity Today magazine comments on a fundamental evangelical belief about salvation. He cites a basic creed which says, "The Bible offers no hope that sincere worshipers of other religions will be saved without personal faith in Jesus Christ."

While it is true that there is salvation in no other name but Jesus Christ, Mr. Packer betrays a lack of understanding of what the Bible does say about God's plan of salvation. His dogmatic statement about this fact leaves little hope, "The Bible offers no hope that sincere worshipers of other religions will be saved without personal faith in Jesus Christ." You can read his comment here.

Many Christians, this one included, understand how God will offer salvation all who have lived, including those of non-Christian religions, in a time described in Revelation 22: 5, 11-13. This is a period known as the Great White Throne Judgment when God will offer salvation, through Christ, to those denied such opportunity in their life. This true understanding is revealed in a holy day called, The Last Great Day which we will be observing later this month.
