While tending to my newborn son, it’s been fascinating to watch his every move; to study his face and his habits. I love to just sit and hold him and try to savor these precious moments.

I have been blessed with three boys, and while each one has been unique, there is one thing that I have witnessed with each one that is the same. Peace. You may think, “How do you witness peace?” but I have. I’ve seen it in their sweet faces and in their eyes. If they are upset and being difficult to calm down, I have seen a peace come over them as soon as I pick them up and we cuddle. As soon as they get that reassurance that I am there, they are better. It’s comforting to me to have that connection with them. To feel needed and loved. It’s a beautiful cycle. I give love, they receive the love, and I feel it come back to me.

I can’t imagine a life without God. I can’t imagine living in this crazy world and not having Him to cry out to for comfort.

Our Father in heaven gives us love too. He wants us to receive His love and to give it back to Him. He wants to feel needed and loved just as any other parent would. He wants to have that bond with us, a connection that could not be broken. He wants to bring you peace, just as a human parent should bring peace to their family.

The world around us is lost. There is no peace. People are scared and hurt. They don’t know where to turn, so they turn on each other. They look for peace in all the wrong places. They chase a peace many will never find. They know something is missing, but the just don’t know what it is. Many don’t realize they have a Father who is there for them and would love to comfort them and bring them peace. All you have to do is call on Him, talk to Him, study His Word and develop a relationship with Him. He only asks for obedience to His Word. That’s all He wants from us, and He gives so much in return.

I can’t imagine a life without God. I can’t imagine living in this crazy world and not having Him to cry out to for comfort. I know He is always there for me. I know He lifts me up and I feel a peace come over me I can’t explain. If you feel lost in this crazy world, turn to God. It’s not too late. He always wants to feel needed and loved just as we parents crave that from our children. He doesn’t care if it’s been 10 days or 10 years since He has heard from you, He is always there, waiting for you. He can bring you the peace we all crave. Let Him know how much you love Him and start today feeling the peace God brings.
