As we more completely grasp the incredible magnitude of all God has created, we are left speechless just as Job was (Job 42:5-6). We should find it easy to remain humble in His presence and know that His decisions are fair, right and in our best interests. It is only when men bring God down to their level that they can make the mistake of questioning all He has done. It is the height of arrogance and foolishness for a human to question God, yet we sometimes do, as Paul pointed out (Romans 9:20).

Recognizing that God is God in all of His glory helps us trust Him and have faith, even when we cannot see the outcome of things clearly. Without faith we cannot please Him—and faith demands not that we know the outcome, but that we trust Him (Hebrews 11:1-6). There is much more for us to learn in life, but with a solid foundation of knowing our place and who is in control, we are more readily able to obey His laws and commands. Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Hebrews 5:9).
