There is an old saying, “Little drops of water and little grains of sand make the great big ocean and the Promised Land.” Some of these old saying are filled with wisdom. People today seem to be bent on instant success. We have instant meals, quick methods of learning and fast modes of travel. We have grown impatient. Life has not changed in its routine. Little by little, the sea or the land develops. It may take 10 or 20 years of effort before we can rest, but without that slow and patient effort, we will fail.

A generation ago, people dreamed of finally owning a home and being able to retire on a small income. Today, those dreams seem reversed. People want everything now and do not worry about tomorrow. We have heard the saying “too soon old and too late smart.” That holds true today. It takes a lifetime to accumulate wisdom and experience. There is no other way. Learn to treasure the drops of water and grains of sand for what they can and will become.
