Noble Humility
He is mighty, and we are made of clay. It is our duty to be humble to our superiors; they have some control over our lives. It is a courtesy to be humble to our peers or equals, but when we show humility to inferiors—that is noble humility. We have nothing to gain in this venture in nobleness—except a more godly nature and character.
Before honor is humility (Proverbs 15:33, Proverbs 18:12). Humility is the recognition that we are all made of clay. We are blessed with different talents and abilities, but those blessing are to be used to make the lives of others better. True humility does not consist of choosing when to be humble and when not to be so. True humility is a frame of mind that directs our feet in every situation with all others.
