Democracy, said Theodore Parker in a speech in Boston in 1850, is a “government of all the people, by all the people, and for all the people.” Oscar Wilde wrote: “Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people.” We know our government has flaws, but it is the best we humans have to offer.

God offers something better. His government will not be of and by the people—but it will most definitely be for the people. His government will be one that does not include disorder or chaos. It will be perfect.
