In our experiences, we know that a bully grows more confident and aggressive if there is nobody who confronts him. The Bible explains that the strong have the responsibility of helping the weak (Romans 15:1). At the same time, God does not expect a weak person to remain weak. The weak need to gain strength so that one day they too can help someone in need. We see that lesson over and over again as our little, helpless children grow up and in time become strong, helpful adults.

Christ was sent so that the oppressed could go free (Acts 10:38). Once freed, they could become strong, and nothing would terrify them (Philippians 1:28). Freed humans can stand against Satan, and he must flee (James 4:7). Grow in strength, and confront the bully.
