Injustice grows in the soil of apathy. Submission to evil is one of the greatest calamities a nation can know. A writer once noted, “The apathy of the people is enough to make every statue leap from its pedestal and hasten the resurrection of the dead.” Christians need to be involved with this world by doing good.

The Bible tells us to resist sin or evil. Apathy does not belong in the life of a Christian. We cannot shut our eyes to evil—evil will not go away. We need to wrestle with it and strive to subdue it (James 4:7).
