The Gift - Grace  

Let’s look at the gifts wrapped up in grace:

1.          Salvation

            Ephesians 2:8 Ephesians 2:8For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

– “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that of yourselves.  It is the gift of God.”

            Acts 4:12 Acts 4:12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

– “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

            I John 4:9 John 4:9Then said the woman of Samaria to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

- In this the love of God was manifested, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.

2.          Our Calling

            ”John 6:65 John 6:65And he said, Therefore said I to you, that no man can come to me, except it were given to him of my Father.

-  And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

3.         The Holy Spirit

            Acts 2:38 Acts 2:38Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

4.         Eternal Life

            John 3:16 John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

– “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.”

            Romans 6:23 Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

– “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.”

a.         What other gifts do you associate with the Spring Holidays?           

b.         What do you do to make the Spring Holydays special for your family?

Summary:  

James 1:17 James 1:17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no ficklenss, neither shadow of turning.
