Hi Everyone,

The UCG Atlanta and Buford, Georgia congregations are sponsoring the 8th Annual UCG Atlanta Ski Trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee again this year. The ski trip is set for Sunday, February 2, 2020. Here are details. 

Cost

We have contracted with Ober Gatlinburg for a flat fee of $69 per person for skiers and $79 for snowboarders. This is their best rate! The cost of skiing and snowboarding includes equipment, a lesson, a day lift ticket (from 9 AM - 10 PM), and a pass for going up and down the mountain on Ober Gatlinburg's Aerial Tramway.

Reservation Limit

Our contract limits us to 25 skiers and 25 snowboarders.  Reservations will be accepted on a first-come basis.

If you want to participate, the deadline for receiving the $10 deposit this year is January 20. Please access the reservation order form on our web page, complete it, include your $10 deposit per person (cash or check only), and return in the mail to Bob McCurdy (address on the form). Note - the form will open in a box at the bottom that you will need to click on.

How to Make Reservations

You will need to send $10 (either by check or cash) for each person that will attend and participate - to Mr. Bob McCurdy, using the form provided at the bottom of this announcement.

The remainder of the cost must be paid by check or cash to Philip Aust at 8 AM on the morning of February 2 when we gather to ski and snowboard.  No credit or debit cards will be accepted at that time.

 Reservation forms must be received by Thursday, Jan 20!

 We will meet at Ober Gatlinburg at 8 AM on Sunday, February 2, so skiers and snowboarders may be processed and get up the mountain.

Seeking Feedback for 2021 Atlanta Ski Trip

When you fill out this year’s form, we are also seeking feedback on Atlanta’s 2021 Ski Trip. Two separate locations, a few hours north of Gatlinburg, are being considered. They include Sugar Mountain Resort (https://www.skisugar.com/, https://www.skisugar.com/group-sales/) and Beech Mountain Resort (https://www.beechmountainresort.com/, https://www.beechmountainresort.com/tickets-passes/groups/). Group rates are on average 10-15$ more per ticket than Ober Gatlinburg. Tickets do not include a lesson, either. Please let us know on this year’s order form if you are interested in skiing or snowboarding at either Sugar Mountain or Beech Mountain in 2021. Thank you.
