The Atlanta and Buford, Georgia congregations are excited to host the 2023 Southeast (SE) Regional Weekend in Atlanta on April 8-9. This is the region’s 26th consecutive year offering the event. This year’s SE Regional Dance theme is “Beyond the Sea.” Whereas formal wear is the expected attire of the gala (gentlemen with suits and bowties or neckties; ladies with gowns suitable for the evening), the atmosphere will have attendees feeling like they are dancing on the ocean floor to a playlist fit for a king crab. The SE Regional Formal Dance is for those 12-25 years of age; however, all ages are invited to the weekend’s other events including Sabbath Services, Senior Recognitions, and Sunday’s family skating activity. 

Cost for the Formal Dance is $39 per person (ages 12-25; the Formal does not include dinner). Skating and laser tag on Sunday morning is a separate fee of $12.50 per person. Family members of all ages are welcome. (A detailed agenda with the locations for each event is offered below.)

The SE Regional Weekend registration is now open till March 25. Payment for those attending the Formal Dance on Saturday night and the skating activity on Sunday will be taken via PayPal. Be sure to fill out the registration form (accessible in the Download section to the right). Clearly indicate the number of those in your party who will attend and calculate the proper amount of payment.

Family Skate Party on Sunday

On Sunday, skating is planned for the whole family. The Family Skate Party begins on Sunday at 9:30 AM and runs till 12 Noon. The location of the Family Skate Party is Sparkles’ Family Fun Center, 1000 McCollum Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 (a map is located in the Download section). Everyone is invited. The cost is $12.50 per person. A game of laser tag is included with every skate ticket. Weekend Events - Attire and Appearance

Clothing attire and one’s appearance (e.g., hair length; 1 Corinthians 11:14-15) should reflect Godly standards for all SE Weekend events. This includes the Sabbath service, SE Formal Dance, and skating party.  All should be mindful and respectful towards fellow attendees, selecting appropriate wear which would be compliant with United Youth Camp's “The Zone”.

Ladies:  Modest formal or Sabbath attire is required for the SE Formal Dance. Plunging necklines, short hems, midriff/tummy revealing dresses, and showing excessive flesh are not appropriate. Strapless gowns are appropriate, assuming they provide adequate coverage. In brief, females should reflect a traditional feminine appearance. 

Gentlemen: Formal or Sabbath attire is required for the SE Formal Dance. Suits, dress shirts, neckties, or bowties are appropriate. In brief, males should reflect a traditional masculine appearance.

Skating Event:  We encourage skaters and others to wear casual clothing conducive to the event. For those skating, a selection of their best thrift-store graphic tee is suggested.  However, only those having an appropriate image and/or message are acceptable - nothing controversial or potentially offensive will be allowed at the event.

Important:  If anyone (attendee, participant, chaperone or casual observer) fails to meet these standards at an event, they will be turned away (1 Thessalonians 5:22), and allowed to re-enter only after the outfit and/or appearance has been corrected. Please be mindful of these expectations while determining how you will present yourself at this year's SE Regional Weekend.
