Sabbath Thought: I Asked God

Greetings and Happy Sabbath Brethren,

I pray that you are all doing well and have had a profitable week, despite the challenges I know many of you have faced. For that reason, you have all been in my thoughts and prayers. As the sun sets, and we engage in the keeping the holy Sabbath, I suggest that we all take the time to read the following short poem as well as these scriptures, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, 2 Peter 1:2-8, Matthew 6:25-34.

These both serves as a reminder of the importance of keeping within us a clear and accurate perspective of how we’re expected to live our lives, especially as Satan continues his vicious attempt to distract and wear us down. We can never lose sight of that biblical outlook because it’s our lifeline. It defines how the servants of the Most-High are to walk in a world, that they are not a part of. It encourages us to keep pushing forward because we know that there is a God, there is a plan, and we have a purpose. In return, we must now be those faithful servants who trust in our God to not only take care of our immediate needs, but give us what we need to prepare us for what we are to become.

I Asked God

Author: Unknown

I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve.

I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brain to work.

I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome.

I asked for patience God placed me in situations where I was forced to wait.

I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help.

I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted I received everything I needed.

                              My Prayer Has Been Answered.

Our Love to All,

Ryan Hall
