1.       LOCAL PRAYER REQUESTS and UPDATES

(If you notice that your prayer request needs updating, please drop us an email or a call with an update. Thank you!)

On-going:

  • John Williamson (Husband of Lisa Williamson, & son-in-law of Louis and Carol Petit in North Canton) – Battling Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and will be going through an allogenic stem cell transplant (donated from John’s brother) within the next couple weeks. There are serious risks involved such as instant death, Graft-ver4sus-Host Disease (GVHD), disease of the liver, as well as getting another form of cancer. Please pray that the transplant goes well and that God shows John mercy, love, and complete healing.
  • Steve Richmond (Cambridge) – Painful, ongoing cancer, upcoming treatments, and a longer range move to his daughter's home near Toledo. Please keep him in your prayers. (See Announcement #2)
  • Covid-19 – Please keep the health of all our brethren in your prayers.
  • Feast Travel – Remember the safety of our brethren traveling to the Feast. We live in significantly more dangerous dynamics than we did six months ago. Also, please ask God to protect the dwellings of those who will be away (and at home) for the Feast.
  • Feasting in Place - Remember those in the U.S. and other parts of the world where brethren can’t meet for the Feast. Please pray for God’s blessing on their spiritual Feast!

2.      SCRAP BOOK PROJECT for STEVE RICHMOND

Stephen Richmond is not well enough to attend the feast this year. The Cambridge church is making a scrap book for him as a feast gift and would like to give you an opportunity to participate as well. Please use a regular size sheet of paper (8-1/2 x 11) and add pictures of you and your family, write a poem or letter, share a scripture, any other idea you may have to give him something to pass the time and share a bit of yourself with him to cheer him up. Give the completed sheet to Susan Miller by Atonement or send it directly to him:      Stephen Richmond,  232 Dover Rd NE, Sugarcreek, OH  44681

3.      FEAST OF TABERNACLES DAILY CHURCH SERVICE WEBCAST

(For those unable to be at a Feast site.)

A greater number of members will be not be able to attend the Feast of Tabernacles in person this year. In the United States, church services will be webcast live from Panama City Beach, Florida, in the central time zone and St. George, Utah, in the mountain time zone.

To find the time of daily services, go to feast.ucg.org and hover over the “Feast” menu bar item. One of the drop down items is “2020 Webcasts.” No passcodes are needed to connect to the webcast.

If you will not be attending a Feast site and haven’t done so yet, please register under the category of “Celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles Online.” Besides getting encouraging articles and updates throughout the Feast and watching the webcast of services, we have also added a daily episode of “Faces and Places” that will feature interviews, video journals, greetings, music and more from our brethren around the world. 4.      U.S. HOLY DAY OFFERING PROCEDURES – For Those Not Meeting In Person

NOTE: For those attending Atonement services locally, we will take up an offering on site as usual.

If you will not be meeting in person, here are three ways that you can conveniently make your Holy Day offering in the U.S.

Donate Online

Many members already use our website’s online donation page at donate.ucg.org to give their Holy Day offerings when they are not able to be at those services—as well as their regular tithes and offerings. About a week in advance of each upcoming Holy Day, the offering for that Holy Day will be added to the donation page; it will remain on the page for about a week after the Holy Day, so you will be able to make your offering online, if you prefer.

If you are new to online donations, we have produced a video that walks you through the process: https://www.ucg.org/members/news/how-to-donate-online

If you use the online option, please note the following:

•           Please include your PIN (the number that begins with “U” on your green Holy Day offering envelopes, just above your name and address.) This greatly speeds up the processing here at the home office. When a PIN is omitted, it requires extra work on the part of the personnel here at the home office to ensure the donation is being credited to you.

•           To optimize your offering, please use the “Online eCheck” option, which is the same as writing a check for your offering—because using your credit card for payment costs the Church around 3% of the donation amount to process.

Banking Bill Payment

Others may choose to use a “bill pay” service through their bank. Again, if you choose to pay this way, in the section for your “account number,” please list your PIN and then, in addition, please put one of these codes after your PIN: (H4=Trumpets, H5=Atonement, H6=Tabernacles, H7=Eighth Day). This will help us credit the correct fund for your donation receipt.

Sent by Mail

For those who choose to mail their Holy Day offerings, please use the green Holy Day offering envelopes which were mailed to you earlier. Please use a separate check and envelope for each Holy Day offering. You will then need to place these envelopes into another carrier envelope and mail to the following address:

United Church of God - HDO

P.O. Box 541027

Cincinnati, OH 45254-1027

Thank you for your cooperation during these extraordinary times we find ourselves in this year.
