We had a most excellent Camp Director's Conference in Cincinnati this past week. The Directors of the various UYC teen camps got together in one place to discuss common concerns, and to plan for this coming year's camp season.

The theme that was decided on and fleshed out was, "Be Anchored to God", which is intended to illustrate the need that we have for God to anchor ourselves. Based upon Hebrews 6:19, the theme will allow us to emphasize the importance of God not just in times of difficulty, but also in times of plenty. 

Without the hope that comes from our faith in God, we are drifting. The hope God provides through the faithfulness of his promises, enables us to hold fast to that which is true, and to further build our relationship with God.

Our camp programs are among the best in the country, and numerous camp facilities have commented that camps just don't run like this anywhere else. When they initially put our programs together the American Camping Assocation, stated that our desires were, "Ambitious", and that we would never be able to do what we have done with volunteer labor. We are incredibly thankful to God for his ongoing blessing and guidance. 

Thanks to Him we have had several thousand youth come through our doors over the past 20+ years. Some of which were my campers years ago, and are now married, starting families and serving in the Church.

• Camp Pinecrest - June 28-July 5 (staff June 28)
• Camp Hye Sierra - June 28-July 5 (staff June 26)
• Northwest Camp - July 19-July 26 (staff July 18)
• Camp Woodland—July 24-July 31 (staff July 23)
• Winter Camp - late December. 
• Boundary Waters Adventure will be held July 12-July 19 (Challenger West is scheduled for the summer of 2021).

2020 Preteen Camp Dates:

• Camp NaCoMe - June 7-10
• Camp Colorado - June 14-17
• Camp Piney Woods - June 14-17
• Camp Ironwood - July 12-15
• Camp Ochoco (formerly Northwest) - July 12-15
• Camp Buckeye - July 26-29
• Camp Seven Mountains - August 9-12.

This year, we have the incredible blessing of a new facility for the Northwest Preteen Camp, this time meeting in the Ochoco National Forest outside of Prineville, Oregon at the Ochoco Christian Conference Center. This facility should continue to meet our needs in the future, far better than that of Camp Arrah Wanna. 

Thank you for your ongoing prayers for our camp programs. They have been a blessing to our youth and parents, and we hope that they continue to be a blessing as we endeavor to follow the mandate found in 2nd Timothy 2:22, and focus on teaching the truth to the next generation.
