One of the things we have been called to do in this life is to change. To allow God's Spirit to work in our lives to transform us, through the renewing of our mind, to become more like God.

As such - God works in our lives actively. He interacts with us as a Master Potter, and as a refiner of precious metals. (Isaiah 64:8, Jeremiah 18:6, Malachi 3:3, Zechariah 13:9, and Psalm 66:10) As a potter, He works the clay of our lives, shaping us into what He has called us to become. He does so by smoothing out the clay, knocking down the rough edges, and removing that which doesn't look like Him. As a refiner - He exhibits us to heat, and high temperature in order to separate the impurities from the pure metal.

A good silversmith doesn't need to time this process, they don't need to automate it - they know it is complete when they can look into the crucible and see their own reflection in the molten metal.

God is working in our lives to help us to become more like Him. More like His Son, Jesus Christ.

... and one of those attributes that He is working to develop in us is the attribute of love for one another.

John 13:34-35 instructs us that we should be known as His disciples by the love which we have for one another. Love is a verb, so it is something that we do--our actions--which are ultimately seen, and the way which others can identify us as disciples of Jesus Christ.

I came across something this week that was interesting and wanted to share it.

I don't know the source of it - it was one of those things that gets shared on social media, but I thought it was something work taking the time to meditate on, and to consider as we think about what it looks like to show love to one another.

10 Ways to Love:

1) Listen without Interrupting (Proverbs 18)

2) Speak without accusing (James 1:19)

3) Give without Sparing (Proverbs 21:26)

4) Pray without ceasing (Colossians 1:9)

5) Answer without arguing (Proverbs 17:1)

6) Speak without pretending (Ephesians 4:15)

7) Enjoy without complaint (Philippians 2:14)

8) Trust without wavering (1 Corinthians 13:7)

9) Forgive without punishing (Colossians 3:13)

10) Promise without forgetting (Proverbs 13:12)

While certainly not an exhaustive list - these are some wonderful, applicable considerations as to how we can show love toward others. What are some others that you can find? Ways to better show love to our brethren, to our fellow man?

One of the conditions of this world at the end time are people who will be lovers of themselves, not extending their care and love to their fellow man - how can we as Christians buck that trend - helping the world see God's love, and therefore Him in us?

Have a wonderful Sabbath!
