We made it!!

After 4000 some miles and 10 different states over about 5 and a half days time on the road—dare I say the Willamette Valley has never looked so good.

There is just something about home. Something about a place that you know, that is comfortable and predictable...(well, most of the time at least.) And there is definitely something to be said for being out of the car.

After close to 72 hours total drive time behind the windshield over those 5 and a half days time, we are looking forward to the incredible blessing that God’s Sabbath is.

When God instituted the Sabbath rest, He had just completed a period of creation, a great deal of work and after stopping and reflecting on His creation, He rested on the 7th day, sanctifying and blessing it. (Genesis 1 and 2)

When we rest on the Sabbath, we commemorate and remember the act of creation, we remember our Creator, and honor Him by resting accordingly.

God knew how much man would need a rest, and created this time to remember and honor Him.

I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to this Sabbath rest!

From our family to yours, Happy Sabbath!!
