×Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are not able to return to Lake George, New York, as originally planned. Ocean City, Maryland, situated along a nine-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean beachfront will be the Northeast region’s location for 2013! For the last century, this family-oriented oceanfront resort located on the Delmarva Peninsula, has been a favorite vacation destination for families from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., all of which are within a three-hour drive.
Ocean City abounds in dining and shopping opportunities, as well as family attractions and areas of natural beauty. The world-famous Ocean City Boardwalk is home to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum, amusement rides and many restaurants. Go offshore aboard the OC Rocket, a one-hour, high-speed boat cruise along the coast. Visit the many go-cart tracks and mini-golf courses in the area. At nearby Assateague Island National Seashore, wild horses can be seen up close, roaming free on the beach and along the nature trails of this undeveloped barrier island.
Services will be held at the Carousel Oceanfront Hotel and Condominiums. The facility has ample on-site housing to accommodate everyone, and it has numerous amenities, including a year-round indoor ice-skating rink, indoor and outdoor pools, oceanfront sundeck, game room and free use of tennis courts and fitness facility. The accommodations include two- and three-bedroom oceanfront condominiums and hotel rooms, all with free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Members are expected to stay at any one of the three housing properties listed below. By accumulating enough rooms at these properties, meeting space charges to the Church will be waived. This will save the Church thousands of dollars. All three properties are owned by Carousel Beach Resort, so if you decide to stay at one of the two properties instead of at Carousel itself, you can still use the pool and skating rink at the Carousel.
The average high temperature for late September is 75 degrees, with an average low of 58. Travelers can fly into Salisbury-Ocean City Regional Airport (SBY), just 30 minutes away.
