×We are pleased to once again keep the Feast in the Bend-Redmond area in 2015. Nestled in the pines of Central Oregon, Bend is the hub of the Cascade Mountains vacation area—a truly millennial setting. Warm, sunny days and crisp, cool nights are typical autumn weather during the festival season.
Central Oregon offers a wide range of family-oriented activities. The nationally acclaimed High Desert Museum features impressive indoor natural history exhibits and live outdoor animal programs. Sightseeing opportunities include waterfalls, mountain streams, national forests and state parks. Newberry National Volcanic Monument offers views of interesting features of the area’s volcanic past, including a large lava cave to explore on foot. Crater Lake is within driving distance from the Bend-Redmond area.
Outdoor activities include sightseeing, hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, hay rides, rock climbing, caves to explore, agate and fossil hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating, and whitewater rafting. Golfers will enjoy some of the nation’s best courses with reasonable green fees.
Bend has several shopping centers, including a factory outlet mall and the award-winning Old Mill District located on the scenic banks of the Deschutes River, featuring shops, restaurants and a scenic walking trail along the banks of the river. The old downtown area of Bend, with its wide variety of shops and restaurants, offers an enjoyable afternoon activity. Some restaurants near the festival site offer special menu items and discounts for attendees.
The small tourist town of Sisters is a must for window-shopping and souvenirs. The resort village of Sunriver offers shopping, dining, a nature center, an indoor sports center, and a brand new water park.
Services are held in a spacious, well-designed, state-of-the-art facility with plenty of parking, scenic grounds for picnicking and outdoor activities, and an on-site RV area with full hookups. We reserve a row of seating in the front of the auditorium for fragrance-sensitive attendees. A wide variety of nearby off-site housing is available at reasonable rates.
