×Ocean City, Maryland, situated along a nine-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean beachfront will be the Northeast region’s festival location again in 2015. For the last century, this family-oriented oceanfront resort located on the Delmarva Peninsula has been a favorite vacation destination for families from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., all of which are within a three-hour drive.
Ocean City abounds in dining and shopping opportunities, as well as family attractions and areas of natural beauty. Nearby is the Ocean City Boardwalk, home to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum, amusement rides, a fishing pier and many restaurants. There are several go-cart tracks and mini-golf courses in the area. At nearby Assateague Island National Seashore, wild horses can be seen up close, roaming free on the beach and along the nature trails of this undeveloped barrier island. A short drive from Ocean City is the historic town of Berlin, home to several specialty shops, antique shops and restaurants.
Services will be held at the Carousel Oceanfront Hotel and Condominiums. The facility has ample on-site housing to accommodate everyone, and features numerous amenities, including a year-round indoor ice-skating rink, indoor and outdoor pools, oceanfront sundeck, game room and free use of tennis courts and fitness facility. The accommodations include hotel rooms as well as two- and three-bedroom oceanfront condominiums, all with free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Members are expected to stay at any one of the three housing properties listed below. All three properties are owned by the Carousel Resort, so all amenities at the Carousel are available to those staying at either of these properties. By renting enough rooms at these properties, the Church will have all meeting space charges waived, and will thus save thousands of dollars.
Expect afternoon high temperatures in the low 70s, with nighttime lows in the upper 50s. Travelers can fly into SalisburyOcean City Regional Airport (SBY), just 30 minutes away.
