Once again this year, 2017, the United Church of God will be holding the Feast of Tabernacles in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Hong Kong is known as the Pearl of the Orient, and the city where East meets West. It offers a variety of close activities. Take a short ride on the Star Ferry from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon for shopping and to visit various museums showing the history of the region. Visit Disney Land — Hong Kong, Ocean Park, Botanical Gardens, and ride the Victoria Peak Tramway up to Victoria Peak where there is one of the best views in all of the region and hiking trails for those looking for exercise.
Hong Kong and the surrounding areas are very easy to get around, with a very well developed public transportation system, which includes an extensive subway system, buses and water taxis. Virtually any place is accessible by public transportation.
Temperatures typically range, during the day, from highs of 80 to 85 degrees and nighttime lows from 74 to 78 degrees. Though humid and warm, temperatures inside buildings can often be quite cool. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring a light jacket or sweater for use inside.
With space for 100 to transfer in and keep the Feast with the local brethren, we encourage those wishing to attend to register immediately. Due to space limitations, it is essential those planning to attend register in advance. Once the space is full, no further transfers can be accepted.
