Many of the 66 brethren from 10 different countries lauded the 2016 Feast of Tabernacles, kept on the Baltic Island of Saaremaa, as their “best ever.” Transformed since the days of the Soviet Union, Estonia is an economically developed country by “first world” standards. We plan to return to this millennial setting to continue observing the Feast at the same location.
Favorable currency exchange rates continue to make travel to Eastern Europe, lodging and meals affordable.
The George Ots Spa Hotell (www.gospa.ee ), located in the city of Kuressare, will provide housing, meals and a conference room within the same establishment. Additionally, numerous indoor recreation possibilities make this venue one of the most convenient ones hosting a Feast.
No car is needed as there are sights and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. Taxis are readily available if needed.
Location of Services: Conference Room of the GO Spa Hotell.
Services will be in English with translation as needed. Most Eastern European brethren speak a modicum of English; someone to translate is always nearby.
Travel Information and Registration
Most international visitors will fly to Tallinn, capital of Estonia. From Tallinn to Saaremaa is a four-hour comfortable coach ride (which includes a one hour ferry crossing) allowing a view of the Estonian countryside. The bus ticket costs $18/16€ each way. Air flights (with a limited schedule and limited luggage weight) are also available from Tallinn to Kuressaare two times per day on most days for $50/45€ round trip. The website for this commuter airline is www.airlink.ee .
For those interested in a short side trip, touring the medieval city of Tallinn is a very convenient opportunity.
Additional information about other charges for excursions, group meals and applications for the Feast are available by e-mailing the festival coordinator, Johnnie Lambert, at firstname.lastname@example.org, writing him at 562 Sing Sing Road, Horseheads, NY 14845, or by calling (607) 796-2669.
