The 2017 Feast of Tabernacles in New Zealand will be held in sunny Nelson, nestled at the top of the South Island. We will be returning to the Tahuna Beach Function Centre, where we were in 2014.
Nelson shines with its great outdoor environment with plenty of hiking, kayaking, cruising and biking options, great retail outlets, fresh fish, vineyards and craft beer, great coffee, local olive oil and honey, more than 300 working artists and galleries, and its great weather.
The Nelson region is blessed with three national parks, all within 90 minutes of the city: the popular Abel Tasman National Park and its coast track, one of New Zealand’s “Great Walks;” Nelson Lakes National Park with its alpine landscape, majestic mountains and lakeside walks; and the huge Kahurangi National Park, home to another of New Zealand’s “Great Walks,” the Heaphy Track.
There is a putt-putt green at the venue, nearby go-carts and water slides, Founders Park, Rabbit Island, Nelson Provincial Museum, Natureland Zoo, plus plenty of adrenaline activities such as hiking, kayaking, cycling, etc.
This is a beautiful part of the world. We’re planning a sea shuttle cruise up the Abel Tasman National Park, a group dinner, and a ladies high tea. There is high interaction between the brethren with many hosting potlucks, car pooling and sharing activities together.
There is a wide range of accommodation available to suit every budget in nearby motels, holiday houses, and holiday parks with cabins/motel units.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Daniel Porteous at email@example.com, or call (home) +64 9 420 6414 or (cell) +64 27 337 9070. Overseas transfers are unable to register on the U.S. website, and you will need to contact Daniel Porteous in order to register for New Zealand.
