This will be the fifth year for the United Church of God to host the Feast of Tabernacles and Eighth Day festivals in Oceanside, California. This city, located in northern San Diego County, is known for its wide stretch of beaches and quaint harbor. Right next door is the charming beachside community of Carlsbad. The weather at this time of year should be in the mid-70s to low-80s, which is just right to enjoy swimming, fishing or sailing. All the famous tourist attractions that San Diego is known for such as Del Mar, Torrey Pines State Park, La Jolla, the Birch Aquarium, Old Town, Seaport Village, the historic maritime district, Seaworld, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Seaport Village and Legoland are 15 to 45 minutes down the coast. Go 50 minutes to the northeast and you are in the sun-kissed wine country vineyards of Temecula.
We will be meeting at the QLN Conference Center that’s a modern, bright, yet intimate one-story facility. This is located about four miles inland. It is no further than 10 to 15 minutes from any location in Oceanside or Carlsbad. It can be reached by light rail from downtown Oceanside.
We will strive to have a wide range of accommodations that make this festival site financially available to all. We are expecting around 500-600 attendees offering all the opportunities of a larger festival site, but also grants opportunity to get acquainted with one another. Most importantly—and our main purpose for assembling—we will worship God, learn more about His marvelous plan of salvation and enjoy fellowship with like-minded and like-hearted fellow believers. With this focus in mind, we will have spiritually focused education venues for every age along with special seminars in the afternoon and a night-time Bible study.
