Baguio is a city in the northern mountain province of Benguet in the Island of Luzon some 260 kilometers (160 miles) north of Manila. Being one of the very few temperate places in this predominantly warm and humid tropical country, it has been officially known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines.
As in the past seventeen (17) consecutive years, the festival location for this year’s Feast of Tabernacles in Baguio City will again be at a Conference Hall of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Ang Ating Tahanan grounds. The hall where services will be held can easily accommodate as many as 150 attendees.
The GSP Ang Ating Tahanan grounds have cottages, rooms and dormitory-type accommodations where brethren can lodge within short walking distance of the service hall. But for those who are more adventurous and prefer to stay outside the festival grounds, nearby hotels and inns are also available. Costs of accommodations range from U.S. $7 per person per day for dormitory-type accommodations to U.S. $80 per night for nearby hotel room accommodations.
This year, we are again expecting 120 to 140 in attendance. These will mostly be brethren coming from the Luzon Island region of the country. But as in past years, we always welcome and are looking forward to welcoming overseas brethren who would want to enjoy and celebrate the Feast with us this year.
