This year the United Church of God will again be holding the Feast of Tabernacles in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Known as the Pearl of the Orient, it is the city where east meets west, with evidence of its long history of British colonialism still present, along with modern Chinese influences. Hong Kong is a truly great location to observe the Feast of Tabernacles.
Although Hong Kong is considered the most expensive city in the world to live, it is surprisingly affordable to visit. With round trip airfares from the west coast of the United States around $600 (USD) per person and nightly hotels rates around $130, Hong Kong is more affordable than one might think.
Additionally, with a well-developed and extensive public transportation system, which includes water taxis, various ground transportation systems and rail, Hong Kong is an extremely easy city in which to move about.
The weather in Hong Kong is typically quite warm during the day, with mild temperatures during the evening. Those wishing to visit should bring a light jacket as temperatures inside buildings can be quite cool.
With space for 60 to transfer in and keep the Feast with the local brethren, we encourage those wishing to attend to register immediately. Due to space limitations, it is essential for those planning to attend register in advance. Once space is full, no further transfers can be accepted.
