Feast Update July 14, 2019 Jerold Aust

Public

Greetings to all prospective Panama City Beach Feastgoers,

The 2019 Feast is about three months away and it will be on us before we know it. We're anticipating about 1,000 attendees for this fall Feast in Panama City Beach (presently we're near 800), which falls later this year; this year's Feast begins on Sunday evening, 7:30 pm, October 13th.

Special Note: If you're coming to the Feast before the weekly Sabbath of October 12, we will have a Sabbath service in the Grand Ballroom beginning at 2 pm on the Sabbath, October 12th.

We have many families returning to Panama City Beach for the Feast of Tabernacles and most of the attendees are transfers from different parts of the country and even a few from other countries; welcome to all of you. We're pleased that many of you are returning to Panama City Beach; many have expressed to me that this is the best family Feast site that they've attended.

If this is your first Feast at Panama City Beach, please read the Feast of Tabernacles' 2019 planner (from Home Office) as it relates to this Feast site; there you will see the available housing, prices, and other important needs available at Edgewater and other nearby accommodations.

At the beginning of the Feast, we will have a Feast Brochure available for your family again this year. We publish this locally and some keep it for a Feast memento. Although I provide all the pertinent times, locations, meetings, services, and other activities, my wife and daughter help edit and prepare it for the printer. Please read the brochure; it will contain all of the Feast activities available, their times, and their locations.

Reminder: please be very careful about the Gulf waters and obey the flags that will be flying. Red means do NOT get into the waters. There can be an undertow (something you can't see) that can take you out to sea without warning. If this happens to you, you should swim to the right or left, not back to shore in a straight line (the undertow is much to powerful to overcome). Also, remember that sharks exist in the Gulf; the Gulf is their home, not yours. Be especially careful about going out to far during their feeding time (morning and evening).

Remarkably, last year's Feast of Tabernacles began on a  Sunday evening; we are repeating that weekly cycle this year. This might actually help the brethren to plan better (or easier).

If you haven't yet registered for the Feast at Panama City Beach, please do so. This helps us to better plan Feast logistics. Thanks for your help in this need.

Please pray for good Feast weather for all Feast sites and for the Feast at Panama City Beach. Edgewater Beach Resorts is ready to accommodate us.

Sincerely,

Jerold Aust
