COVID-19 Requirements and Updates

Greetings Brethren,

As we continue planning for the 2020 Feast of Tabernacles, the following information may be referenced concerning the current conditions, local mandates, and regulations for anyone attending the Cincinnati, Ohio Feast site. As you are all aware of, these conditions are fluid and are subject to change given the weekly Ohio Department of Health reports and decisions within local governments. 

The following information are the guidelines as set forth by the local government and by hotel policy.

Personal Interactions in all Public Areas

  • Face masks are currently required for all those medically able and aged 10 years and older. 
  • Face Mask Exclusions include: (1) Those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability; (2) Those who are actively exercising or playing sports; (3) Those who are officiants at religious services; (4) Those who are actively eating or drinking. 
  • Physical distancing requirements are 6 feet between different households.
  • Gatherings are not to exceed 10 people, public or private. (The State of Ohio and Local Department of Health reports that this mandate Does Not apply to any Religious Worship Service. Therefore this mandate will only apply to any gatherings outside of our normal daily worship services.)

Facility Services

  • The onsite Restaurant/Lounge, McKenna’s, has been temporarily closed and is expected to remain closed during the Feast
  • Mask are required to be worn in all public areas
  • Swimming Pool/Jacuzzi will be limited to number of occupants and must be requested at front desk

During Services

  • Seating will be setup to provide social distances between different households/groups.
  • Due to hall set-up for maximum seating with adequate social distancing, we encourage members to take advantage of the atrium for fellowship before and after services.
  • Face mask are required to be worn before and after services. (Exemptions do apply: example medical issues)
  • Congregational singing is currently allowed. However, we are requesting that a mask must be worn by everyone within the Meeting Hall who will be singing during this portion of the service.

Activities

  • We have a team exploring and planning creative activities suitable for all ages that will accommodate and meet all social distancing requirements.

Travel Advisory

There are no travel restrictions at this time. However, Ohio has posted a travel advisory which is only recommended or advised. Adherence is voluntary only.

The Ohio State COVID-19 travel advisory is aimed at incoming visitors from states with an coronavirus infection rate over 15%. Travelers coming into Ohio from those states are urged, but not required, to self-quarantine for two weeks. The advisory also applies to residents of Ohio returning from those states.
