Important Message For Those That Registered As Hard of Hearing
This year at Gatlinburg, we will be using an FM transmitter to broadcast a signal for hard of hearing support. If this need applies to you, there are a few options:
1. All smart phones have a radio app that can be downloaded. By plugging in wired earphones/ear buds (they act as antennae) you will be able to control the volume.
2. If you have a portable FM radio receiver and earphones/ear buds you can use it.
3. You can go to Walmart/Amazon/Target and search for Portable FM Receiver. They are both budget and moderate models available.
If you have questions or if you know that you will need a unit and would like one to be obtained for you, please contact Russ DeVilbiss, russ@devilbissfamily.net 262 287-8725.
For your information, the less expensive FM receivers have inferior ear buds. If you go this route, you may want to plan on having a better quality earphones/ear buds to use.
The FM frequency used for hard of hearing will be provided in Gatlinburg.
Please contact Russ DeVilbiss right away if you would like help in obtaining a receiver unit.
