The Merimbula Feast of Tabernacles site is situated on the southeast coast of Australia, partway between Sydney and Melbourne. Merimbula is a small township with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of natural surroundings such as the bay inlet, beach fronts and bush-lined walking places. It also has a delightful boardwalk with cafes, restaurants and a variety of shops overlooking the bay. The area is known for boating tours, fishing trips, golf courses and amusement centers.
We would like to invite overseas visitors to enjoy a very beautiful part of Australia. The Feast site is noted for its friendly hospitality where members hold open house meals for brethren to meet together and fellowship. The weather is expected to be mild and sunny with temperatures in the 70s Fahrenheit.
Services will be held at the Merimbula RSL Club. Festival activities will cater to everyone including families, teens, seniors and children. After the first Holy Day service there will be a “get acquainted” opportunity over finger foods and refreshments. The RSL has a restaurant adjacent to the hall and the meals are low-cost. Many appreciate the ease of fellowshipping over lunch after morning services. There will also be a Church luncheon in the RSL restaurant on the Eighth Day.
Traveling to Merimbula is approximately a six-hour drive from Sydney and seven hours from Melbourne. Regular flights from Sydney or Melbourne can be organized through www.rex.com.au.
