Dear Brethren:
Due to the ongoing Covid19 situation and the many challenges and difficulties facing all Feast attendees, it has been decided after much consideration and counsel that the Midland site will be canceled for this year. This decision was not made lightly. On Tuesday afternoon 12 Ontario ministers met on-line to discuss the situation at hand. After much discussion, the unanimous consensus was to not proceed with holding a Feast in Midland in 2020.
Although it was a difficult decision to make, it was felt that it was the best one in order to meet all local requirements and to keep brethren safe at this time.
Plans are being made for the Ontario brethren to provide local services in various areas and details will be announced as they are made for your area.
If you have registered for the Feast in Midland, please follow the instructions outlined here to change your household’s registration: https://www.ucg.org/members/news/changing-feast-plans
Because rules and regulations are different in other jurisdictions, Feast sites in other Canadian locations are still going forward although on a more scaled down level. We will all still be keeping the Feast of Tabernacles this year but in a way that we did not anticipate. As we implore our Heavenly Father for His help, we can be confident that He will guide and direct us to observe His festivals as best we can and still learn the vital spiritual lessons we need to learn at this time of year.

Midland, Ontario
The Quality Inn–Midland, Ontario, Canada will once more host the Feast of Tabernacles in 2020! One of the main reasons for returning to Midland is the warm and friendly welcome that we have continually received over the last number of years. The Quality Inn is the premier full-service hotel in the Southern Georgian Bay area. It has an excellent re-modeled ballroom with seating capacity for 500 people.
Accommodations include standard rooms as well as a limited amount of suites that come complete with a small refrigerator and a coffeemaker; all rooms include free high-speed Internet.
Midland is located on beautiful Southern Georgian Bay, only 90 minutes from Toronto and 30 minutes from Barrie.
The area has a natural blend of scenic landscapes, wildlife diversity and a picturesque harbor with waterfront trails and parkland. The spectacular fall colors should be at their best during the Feast. You can also visit several historic attractions that reflect the region’s rich cultures.
There is an array of shopping in the historic downtown, or a short drive to Barrie. For food lovers, there are local culinary delights and a variety of restaurants throughout the area; for those who would prefer to stay in, dining will be available at the onsite Library restaurant.
For further information on the area, please go to https://southerngeorgianbay.ca/.
For those who have not yet experienced the quaint little town of Midland, we hope this will be the year you do; for those who have attended in the past we “Iinvite you to try it again for the first time.”
