×Glacier Country, Montana
The beautiful and majestic area of Northwest Montana known as “Glacier Country” will again host the Feast of Tabernacles. This region of Montana is world renowned for its mountains, rivers and wilderness areas—especially Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Flathead Lake. In addition to the grand landscapes, the small towns abound with great restaurants and shopping opportunities.
This year the Feast site will again be held at Glacier Bible Camp, which is only 10 miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park. The close proximity to Glacier National Park will allow those who desire to spend time exploring the park to do so without a long the drive to get there. This may allow for more excursions to such locations as Pole Bridge and Bowman Lake, East Glacier, Saint Mary Lake and even Many Glaciers and Lake Sherbrune. However, with the Feast being later this year, it is likely that the famous “Going to the Sun” highway to Logan Pass will be closed for the season.
At Glacier Bible Camp they call their largest meeting building “the Tabernacle.” This building is designed to accommodate 1,000 people with comfortable cushioned chairs. Although we are not expecting anywhere near 1,000 people to attend this site, it does mean we are able to accommodate nearly all who desire to come to Montana to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Glacier Bible Camp offers a wide range of onsite accommodations. These accommodations make it possible to attend the feast in Montana very reasonably. Some find the camping and dorm options reminiscent of early Feasts held in Big Sandy, Texas, in the Piney woods or Booth City. See more information below. All reservations for housing at Glacier Bible Camp need to be made through the UCG Glacier Country Reservation and Housing Team. In the near future we will post where those reservations can be made.
Opening night services will be held at the Tabernacle Building on the Glacier Bible Camp campus.
The local Kalispell congregation will also be having Sabbath services at 2 p.m. Oct. 8, just prior to the Feast, at Glacier Bible Camp. For those who are camping or staying onsite in any of the dormitory type rooms, they may sign up to arrive at the camp as early as Friday, Oct. 7. However, Glacier View Lodge (motel style rooms) will not be available until after 3 pm Sunday, Oct. 9.
