Ocean City, Maryland, situated along a nine-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean beachfront will once again be the Northeast region’s festival location in 2022. This family-oriented oceanfront resort town, located on the Delmarva Peninsula, has been a favorite vacation destination for families from the mid-Atlantic area for over a century.
Ocean City abounds in dining and shopping opportunities, as well as family attractions and areas of natural beauty. Nearby is the Ocean City Boardwalk, home to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum, amusement rides, a fishing pier and several restaurants. At nearby Assateague Island National Seashore, wild horses and other wildlife can be seen up close, roaming free on the beach and along the nature trails of this undeveloped barrier island. A short drive from Ocean City is the historic town of Berlin, home to several specialty stores, antique shops and restaurants. A popular ice skating rink is located within the nearby Carousel Resort, where the Feast was held in previous years. With several golf courses, fishing piers and outlet malls nearby, Ocean City has something for everyone!
This year, for the first time, the Feast will be held in Ocean City’s elegant Performing Arts Center, a beautiful concert hall located within the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. There are abundant amounts of hotels, motels, rentable homes and condominiums near the convention center. Therefore, members are free to search for their own housing.
Typical Ocean City weather in mid-October will bring daytime high temperatures in the 65-70 degree range, with nighttime lows in the low to mid 50s. Travelers on American Airlines can fly into Salisbury-Ocean City Regional Airport (SBY), just a half hour away. For travelers on other airlines, there are nearby international airports, located in Baltimore (BWI), Washington D.C. (DCA), Philadelphia (PHL), and Norfolk (ORF), all of which are within a 3-hour drive. Whatever mode of transportation you choose, we look forward to having you and your family joining us in Ocean City this year!
