2017 Feast of Tabernacles

Agra, India

Since day one we felt the presence of God and His interest for all of us attending this Feast site. We soon realized how great of a host He is.

The messages were like meat in due season for all of us. We had special music and Sabbath school every day of the Feast.

Almost every attendee participated and served in one way or another. Many of them helped with translation, and almost everyone participated in the variety show. Many others helped collect offerings, performed offertory music, the sound system, setting up the projector and screen for the Feast video, etc.

Some local members hosted the brethren in their own homes. It was an amazing experience to see all of these people come together as a family to celebrate the best Feast ever.

We had many opportunities to visit historic sites, including the famous Taj Mahal, considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world.

We enjoyed great food, not just at the multiple buffet-style restaurants of the hotel, but also at a grill and barbecue restaurant located within walking distance of the hotel. We all enjoyed the barbecue meal, especially the children who soon discovered the ice cream bar with more than 12 flavors to choose from.

Every night, many gathered together in the lobby or at their dinner tables and stayed up really late, talking about God and His great love for all of us.

It was great for us (visitors) to visit our brothers and sisters in India and see how great our God is that can bring His people together to the place He has chosen to have a little taste of His coming Kingdom.

What a great responsibility we have with one another—it is through experiences like this that we can see how magnificent the Word of God is as found in Matthew 22:36-40: “‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’”

We encourage you from the bottom of our hearts to visit this site next year and share your many blessings with our family in India. For more information regarding the Feast in 2018, e-mail
