2017 Feast of Tabernacles

Albuera, Leyte, Philippines

All congregations in the Visayas region together with some guests from other islands of the country and from the U.S. gathered for the fourth time in this beautiful nature-inspired resort filled with wonderful sceneries which indeed gives a foretaste of God’s coming Kingdom.

Inspiring and spiritually uplifting messages, hymns and special music were among the activities that were looked forward to by everyone at the Feast. Average daily attendance in each day’s church service reached 112.

Aside from the spiritual aspect of Christian life, the Feast also focused on enhancing family bonds and promoting friendship among the members and guests who were gathered. Activities such as acquaintance night, seniors social, youth and singles day and family and sports day were among the ones that took gigabytes of phone and camera storage all capturing the happy moments and experiences that were truly memorable!

The aspect of educating the brethren hasn’t been left out as well. On certain days of the Feast, lively seminars as well as Bible forums for the membership and the youth respectively wereSo  conducted. Guests also had the opportunity of visiting different historical sites in the Island of Leyte including Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda Memorial, San Juanico Bridge and MacArthur Park/Leyte Landing Memorial.

Sumptuous food was also a highlight and was made even more enjoyable with the brethren having fellowship after meals. Special dinners were also served for the seniors and the servant leaders of the region prepared by members who had skills and training as chefs.

With the guidance, inspiration and protection of the Almighty God and the active participation of members who were assigned in different committees, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Eighth Day celebration in the Visayas region of the Philippines was a great success!
