2017 Feast of Tabernacles

Copperbelt of Zambia

The high attendance of 95 celebrated the Feast physically and spiritually. We kicked off with a welcome film titled “It Won’t Be Long Now,” with a lion in the foreground, followed by inspiring message from our president. We then went into our first sermon of many.

Subjects included: “Our Focus on the Future Kingdom of God,” “What God Expects Us to Do at the Feast,” “Are You Ready to Enter the Promised Land?” The sermon “Have the Heart of a Lion to Trust in God” included loud sounds of a roaring lion. “Created in the Image of God” was followed by the hymn “Be Now My Vision.” Our final sermon on the Eighth Day was about the amazing grace of God in relation to the offer of salvation to all those of the second resurrection. During the sermon we listened to the hymn “Amazing Grace” sung by Judy Collins.

People came from all over: Chipata (1,000 kilometers away), Congo, Solwezi, Mufumbwe, Manyinga and South Africa.

Activities included: a Bible quiz, an activity afternoon (where much fun was had painting faces into lions and lambs and making lion and lamb masks), a film, a sports day, farmers lecture, a fun show, a ladies meeting, a Bible study, and one evening where some members joined the Pringles around a bonfire for a barbecue on their game farm.
