2017 Feast of Tabernacles

Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Great mountain weather provided nearly 400 Feast-keepers here many opportunities to enjoy the outdoor and indoor recreational activities in the area, including hiking, fishing, ATV rentals, gondola rides, horseback riding, natural hot water springs, ice skating, bowling and museums. Many took a ride on “The Outlaw,” the longest track mountain coaster in North America (6,280 ft.). This year a new indoor tennis activity was added for the teens, and they enjoyed playing volleyball and dodgeball there as well.

The Steamboat Grand Resort has accommodated the United Church of God for all 16 of our Feasts here, and its exceptional staff was again very attentive. Many members commented that it is an ideal place to keep the Feast and how convenient it is to stay in the same facility where services are held.

Above all, it was evident from the opening night that this was not our Feast, but God’s. His presence was heard in the depth and insight of every message, seen in the joyful faces of His children and felt in the loving fellowship we all shared with Him together. Every service was filled with beautiful music offered to God in sacrifices of praise in a millennial setting of peace and joy, but many commented on how the sermonettes, sermons and Bible studies stood out as so expressive, inspiring and edifying.

All returned home well-fed, both physically and spiritually.
