2018 Feast of Tabernacles

Llandudno, Wales

God certainly blessed His Feast here by providing us with greatly talented speakers, musicians and a host of people who gave selflessly of their time to serve so that all could enjoy a Feast to be remembered. God provided great weather throughout the eight days, which even the locals continually commented upon.

The theme of the Feast was “God’s Family of Firstfruits,” and the family theme was evident throughout the eight days in both the messages and the loving support and inclusion felt by all who were present.

The first evening provided attendees with the opportunity to get to share stories that helped everyone get to know each other better. From the subsequent comments, this event was among the highlights of the Feast and it certainly reinforced the theme.

Feastgoers enjoyed an outing to the historic city of Chester with its Roman defensive walls still visible around the old city center, and the largest permanent amphitheater, seating 7,000 people for entertainment spectacles. The city was abandoned by the Romans in the fifth century.

For the train enthusiasts, there was an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful 13 mile scenic trip to Ffestiniog on the oldest operating narrow-gauge railway, to see where the slate was mined.

A highlight on the Eighth Day was the beautiful singing provided by the children’s choir, who this year was bolstered by some of a number of the talented adults, and two beautiful pieces of music performed in the afternoon by a choir made up of brethren from around the world.
