2018 Feast of Tabernacles

Sabaudia, Italy

The highest attendance was 243, out of 252 overall participants from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Germany, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, United Kingdom, the U.S.A. and of course Italy. On the seventh day three new members (Daniela Finotti, Jonah and Domingo Gardose) were joyfully added to the church in Italy.

During the Feast we were spiritually nourished by very inspiring and powerful messages, including the video messages from our chairman and president. Also, cultural tours to Pompeii, Rome and the Vatican Museums were offered, as part of our Feast educational program in relation to ancient Christianity versus paganism. It was history coming alive before our eyes.

Furthermore, we had wonderful weather all eight days of the Feast. This allowed a number of memorable social activities, such as a wine tasting experience in a typical Italian vineyard, the talent show, an evening dance and several entertaining games on the golden sandy beach with the blue sea. Brethren of all ages, either singles or families, had the opportunity to renew their long-time friendships as well as to make new friends in Christian fellowship.

At the end of the Feast there was a send-off of balloons towards the blue sky to say goodbye to the brethren before their departure from the Feast. They were moving and unforgettable moments. Many brethren have written to us in appreciation, yet, we are the ones who need to sincerely express our gratefulness for their presence, friendship and generous support. There are not adequate words to thank all the brethren, adults and children, who have contributed with their presence and their joyful singing voices in making the Feast a memorable one, once again.

Church services were held in the newly restored hotel meeting hall. This is now like a jewel that reminds us every day of the Feast the beauty of God’s Kingdom. With renewed anticipation, we do hope to see more brethren next year. Our heartfelt thanks and invitation goes to all our brethren from around the world.
