2018 Feast of Tabernacles

St. Georges, Grenada

More than a few attendees made the remark that we could not have asked for a more Millennial setting. The Grenadian is set on one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Grenada. It is situated in a private cove, with extensive grounds full of beautiful tropical flowers and massive shade trees. There is a lake with a pathway around it, and peaceful benches scattered about. Grenada, known as the Spice Island, is lush and green, with an abundant variety of fruits, vegetables and spices. Meals at the resort featured an abundance of these, as well as other delicious treats, including some of the most delicious chocolate in the world, which Grenada also produces.

The 95 brethren in attendance hailed from Canada, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, and the U.S.A., gathering to enjoy this beautiful location and wonderful fellowship. Almost everyone participated in the activities, including a bus tour of the island, a boat cruise along the coastline, an impromptu karaoke night, and a shopping excursion. Many gathered each evening to watch the spectacular sunsets. Family day featured a variety of activities, including a scavenger hunt, card/domino games, and a water balloon toss—all while enjoying the backdrop of the beautiful blue sea framed by brilliant white sand and green mountains. We had plenty of quality time with each other and really got to know our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sermons were right on target, giving us a vivid picture of the coming Kingdom of God. Special music was also inspiring. With such a wonderful Feast, it was sad to see it come to an end—we wanted to keep celebrating for another eight days! But we will cherish the wonderful memories and look forward to next year and to the ultimate fulfillment of God’s master plan.
