2019 Feast of Tabernacles

Branson, Missouri

Regarding attendance, the high was 588 people with an average attendance of 535. Shawn Cortelyou conducted a teen Bible study, and Todd Herridge conducted the young adult Bible study. Two children’s Bible instruction classes were conducted as well, organized by Stephen and Sarah Bouchette.

There were 150 seniors who attended the Wednesday afternoon luncheon. They were treated to musical entertainment.

Thursday was Family Day. The children’s choir performed the special music for services. Many brethren donated stuffed animals which were displayed on the stage during services. So many were donated that each child was given two! Also, since we had many left over after our stuffed animal giveaway, some toys were donated to a local shelter.

The Family Day activities were well attended. The children played balloon tennis and did a paperclip find, built things with Legos, played bean bag toss and blew bubbles. The children also went on a compass orientation program (treasure hunt). Each child who participated found the treasure—a quality fishing pole donated by one of the large national outdoor sporting stores. The teens enjoyed flag football and a few played volleyball.

On Friday, the teens went to Fritz’s, an indoor adventure activity center. On Sunday, some of the older singles went to a local nursing home and sang for the residents. This service opportunity was much appreciated.

Another service opportunity was conducted by the Springfield, Missouri women. They hand-crafted 84 cards and sent them to those who were unable to attend the Feast. Additionally, the St. Louis, Missouri, ladies sent over 33 cards to those on the Church’s mailing list who are incarcerated.

Branson is located in the beautiful Ozark Region of this nation and has its own unique beauty—a sparkling jewel of God’s Creation. Brethren enjoyed getting out and about in this wonderful area.

There was a very evident spirit of unity throughout the Feast; we experienced how good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity! Above all, I believe that God Almighty and His Divine Son were glorified.
