2019 Feast of Tabernacles

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Highlights included two baptisms, the blessing of the little children, children’s choir (50 on stage), preteen and teen activities, a ladies’ mingle, a widows’ tea, a men’s summit, a Jamaican cultural night, two day passes (for Jamaican brethren to enjoy meals and activities on the hotel property) and a buffet lunch together on the Eighth Day between services.

Weather was hot and humid, with only a few tropical rain showers at night. Beautiful sunny afternoons were ideal for spending time outdoors at the lovely Hilton Rose Hall—in the lazy river, on a sailboat or building a sand castle on the beach. Several brethren enjoyed group tours—snorkeling, zip-lining and even swimming with dolphins.

Many families returned for their second or third time to this location, prompted by the warm Jamaican brethren, the tranquil setting and the hotel’s all-inclusive plan and service-oriented staff. In total, we had about 125 children from the age of one month to 12 years old!

For those interested, we’re planning to be at this same location for 2020. The site seems to fill up quickly every year! From sunrise hikes along the golf course to sunset photo opportunities, there is something for everyone to experience in this millennial setting. The only hard part is saying goodbye!
