As a satellite Feast site, we were connected via the Web to Osoyoos, British Columbia and, at times, Panama City Beach, Florida, where we joined in song and received spiritual food. We were reminded why we were at the Feast, admonished to learn from the past, encouraged to get out of our comfort zone and remember others, rehearsed four points on how to stay strong, and learned many other spiritual lessons.

Being a smaller group, we did not lack for activities. We had plenty of opportunities to fellowship and serve: two buffet luncheons, two hospitality hours, a sandwich and salad luncheon, an ice cream social and, of course, the Seniors’ Luncheon offering more food, fun and fellowship. For lovers of the outdoors, there was a Family Day hieroglyphic guided tour at South Mountain Park. The park offers hiking trails and an educational center.

Weather was perfect for the early morning hike and was certainly among the many blessings experienced at the Phoenix site. The temperatures ranged from the low 90’s during the day to the low 60’s at night.
