2019 Feast of Tabernacles

Visayas, Philippines

Total attendance reached 119 people. Of those, 114 attendees came from the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao islands, with five foreign guests coming from Canada. Inspiring messages, beautiful special music and wonderful hymns were among the daily spiritual activities everyone enjoyed during the Feast. Adding to the thrill and enjoyment were the activities such as Fellowship Night on the first day, followed by the Youth, Single’s and Children’s Day. Kids, young adults and singles enjoyed outdoor games and a public speaking activity in the evening.

The third day became one of the highlights as brethren showcased their talents during the Variety Show and Entertainment Night. There were a total of 17 presentations performed by members from the different congregations in the Visayas, Manila and the foreign guests from Canada.

Fun games included an action relay, a sack race and a baby bottle race which gave everyone the opportunity to work as a team and see how strong God’s family can be when everyone works together for a common goal during the Family, Delicacy and Sports Day. The servants and local leaders also had the chance to bond with each other and talk about their experiences in leading and serving God’s people during the Servant Leaders’ Dinner on the evening of the fourth day. It was a night of good food and great conversations for the people who are tending God’s flock.

The fifth day gave a chance for brethren to flex their knowledge of the Bible during the Bible Bowl challenge. Three teams competed for the highest score and in the end Team B won after they gave the complete list of the names of Jacob’s 12 sons.

The seniors and elderly in God’s Church were then honored with a special dinner on the evening of the sixth day. A memory verse challenge was held after the banquet. A regular worship service was done on the morning of the seventh day and a group picture followed. A festival dinner was served for all Feastgoers where everyone enjoyed viewing the photos and videos of the activities done in the previous days of the Feast while enjoying delicious food.

On the Eighth Day, most of the brethren spent some time taking final photos with family, friends and new acquaintances before leaving. With the guidance, inspiration and protection of the Great God Almighty and the active participation of volunteers and committees, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Eighth Day celebration this year was great success!
