2021 Camp Report

Cotubic

In total, 127 teens and 61 staff came together for a week spent in the Zone, focusing on being anchored to God. Each day began with Christian Living to center us on the main reason we have camp—to set our sails for the Kingdom of God and to draw closer to God. The teens would then head to their first activity for the day. Our amazing staff led them in fun and challenging activities which included archery, arts and crafts, volleyball, waterfront, high ropes, the rockwall, ziplining, speedaway, softball, basketball, dance, Bible class and the Amazing Race.

Perfect weather of clear skies and cool breezes set the stage for a wonderful week. Each year Cotubic staff comments on how great our campers are and this year was no different. Scott Stephens, the director of the Camp Cotubic facility, commented, “You guys are one of our favorite groups to come to camp.  We just love having you here.”

Their participation, enthusiasm and laughter made it a joy for the staff to serve them! Even though many teens were challenged with at least one activity being outside their comfort zone, they were always willing to give it their best effort while having a great attitude. It was inspiring to see them conquer their fear on the high ropes and to work together during the Amazing Race.

The Sabbath day was a time of study and fellowship along with beautiful special music performed by the campers and staff. The staff then served teens the traditional, formal dinner banquet and after sunset a final dance signaled the end of another fantastic year at Camp Cotubic.

Plans are already underway for Cotubic 2022 running from June 19-26. We look forward to seeing everyone there for another spectacular camping experience!
