2021 Feast of Tabernacles

Mufulira, Zambia

People came from different parts of Zambia with different languages and backgrounds, but united under one goal to celebrate and enjoy together as a family. Experiencing the special music, games, Word of God and so many other activities together promoted unity and love among the attendees.

The Zambezi and Kabompo congregations joined us for the 2021 Feast. Though these are new churches located about 750 km away from Kitwe, they made efforts and we enjoyed being with these beautiful and nice people.

With the new government in power in our country, we were concerned about possible changes, but we obtained a permit from the ministry of health and followed COVID-19 restrictions. Above all, we thank God Almighty the Creator for keeping everyone safe and sound while at the Feast.

On the last day, two deacons were ordained to help in spreading the good news and running church affairs: Joseph Kaputula of Mufumbwe and Mephias Kantumoya of Solwezi.

It was all joy and smiles. People enjoyed both spiritual and physical food, talked with old friends meeting again after a year or so, women shared gifts with their loved ones and many created new friends. This really portrays how united we are, and should be.

The pastor took time to explain the world before the return of Jesus, reading from Matthew 24 and Revelation and explaining the seven seals, seven trumpets and seven plagues.

On the Eighth Day, a prayer was given from Numbers 6:24-26: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.’’
