2021 Feast of Tabernacles

Visakhapatnam, India

Our Feast experience made us more grateful for the knowledge of God’s wonderful plan, the stronger understanding of what the Feast of Tabernacles and the Eighth Day means for all of humanity, and the wisdom of God in working out His purpose in His way and in His time.

Since we were keeping the Feast at home along with our children, we planned the entire Feast and prayed that it would inspire us all. We also made it a goal to ensure that the children felt that the days were very special. We set up the meeting hall with colorful lights and paper crafts to stir the hearts, and help us rejoice during the Feast.

We also invited some friends who are eager to learn about God’s purpose and plan for mankind, and the significance of God’s appointed times and Feasts. After the eight days together, these guests have a little more understanding about being true children of God and the value of fellowship.

On the first day of the Feast, we had four families attending and on the last day, we had 12 adults, four teens and 14 children.

We had great pre-recorded messages, which I translated into Telugu for everyone’s understanding. These messages taught us great values of God, which enriched and renewed our minds. We also held Sabbath school on all days of the Feast. The children enjoyed learning memory verses, and the Feast booklets were very useful to us to teach the children about God and His love.

We enjoyed great food—lots of snacks, sweets, chocolates and special dishes. To make the Feast more memorable, our group also visited the scenic beaches, some historical sites and the local zoo.

We hope all had a great Feast. We are praying for all the brethren who are affected by COVID-19.
