2022 Atlanta Ski Trip

The United Church of God Atlanta and Buford, Georgia, congregations are sponsoring the Atlanta Ski Trip once more this year. After a decade of skiing and snowboarding above Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the 2022 Atlanta Ski Trip will take place this year at Sugar Mountain Resort in North Carolina. This year’s ski trip weekend is set for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 5-6, 2022. (Sabbath services will be held in Boone, North Carolina, the day prior to skiing.) Here are details regarding skiing and snowboarding.

Cost. We have contracted with Sugar Mountain ( for their best group rate. Skiing and snowboarding costs are detailed in the announcement on the Atlanta congregation website:

Reservation Limit. Our group contract is set at 30 skiers and 30 snowboarders this year. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come basis. To participate in this year’s ski trip, the costs for skiing and snowboarding must be paid in advance. Complete the Reservation Form. Fill out the form found on the event webpage, and then email your reservation directly to Bob McCurdy at

Make Your Payment. We are taking payment for this year’s ski trip via PayPal. Be sure to take into account all your costs when paying for skiing or snowboarding. There is also a small PayPal processing fee that will be added when paying for your spot. The deadline for payment is Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022.

Sabbath Services on Feb. 5, 2022, will be held in Boone, North Carolina, at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Boone University. Services will begin at 3 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 6, we will meet at Sugar Mountain Resort at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, so skiers and snowboarders may be processed, get their equipment, and get up the mountain.

Lodging. Three hotels are listed on the event webpage. Attendees are responsible for checking rates and reviews and booking their own room.  We look forward to seeing you on the slopes this February.
