The Atlanta and Buford, GA congregations are happy to announce our second annual Young Adults/Singles Weekend and Family Dance on the weekend of March 24 - 26 . Please join us for a spiritually uplifting weekend full of fellowship, fun, and fantastic dancing! The weekend will kick off with a Friday evening mixer for singles and young adults, followed by Sabbath services and a family dance that night. The weekend will conclude with a group activity for all ages at the scenic Stone Mountain Park!

The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

Sabbath Services will be held at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center at 3 p.m. Following the service and fellowship, individuals and groups will break for dinner at nearby restaurants.

* Family Dance—Open to all ages ! The theme of the dance is “Dancing Through the Decades”. We encourage individuals to dress from their favorite era whether that be 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or present. Starting at 8:00 pm and going to 11 PM , a live DJ will play hits from the 60s to present. There will be partner and line dancing selections for all ages to enjoy.

Ticket Prices

Attendance at the Dance will require advance registration. The price for Dance attendance is as follows:

Singles - $15.00 per person
Families - $12.00 per person with a maximum of $50 for families over four (4) individuals* .
* Please note that this applies to members living in the same household, not extended family members.

Purchasing Tickets

Purchase admission tickets using the attached form (located on the right in the “Download” section). Print and complete the form and mail it to the address listed on the form along with a check (made out to “United Church of God - Atlanta”) covering the number of people that will be attending. Plan to purchase your tickets early if possible. The deadline for receiving ticket forms will be March 23, unless we reach the hall capacity before that date.

(Note - Upon receipt of your order we will place your name on a list. At Check-in before the dance you will be given an admission ticket for each person on your order.)

* March 26—Optional Outing to nearby Stone Mountain Park (all ages welcome)

On Sunday morning, those interested are encouraged to meet us at Stone Mountain Park for hiking, exploring, sightseeing and fellowship. The park, one of Atlanta’s premier attractions, offers spectacular scenic views in addition to many family oriented activities. Further details will be shared on our events Facebook page and during announcements at services on March 25.
