The Beyond Today television program has been on the air for two years in South Africa. Over that time more than 100 programs have aired. Viewer surveys have shown that between 25,000 and 55,000 are tuned to the program every week on Sunday mornings at 8:30.
The first presentation for the Beyond Today live event was held in Centurion, Pretoria, at the Protea Hotel on Saturday, Oct. 9, where a four-hour presentation was held with a morning and afternoon session. The topics ranged from a discussion of world conditions, the state of South Africa, the prophetic significance of God’s Word, why God created man and what actions true believers should take.
Even though we had minimal promotion for the event, local Church members enthusiastically attended as well as 20 members of the public. They took notes, asked questions and picked up Church literature that support the teachings that were presented.
The second appearance was in Rondebosch, Capetown, at the Belmont Square Conference Centre on Sunday, Oct. 10. Our Capetown brethren were joined by five other eager attendees. One of these joined us for Atonement services three days later.
Although we had hoped that the seminars would have much greater attendance, those that did attend were genuinely interested and seemed motivated to learn more of God’s overall plan for the salvation of all humanity.
