Camp Ironwood

2016

July 17, 2016 - 12:00am EDT to July 20, 2016 - 12:00am EDT

Camp Ironwood takes place in the spectacular outdoor setting of Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch. The theme of this year’s camp will be “You Can Make a Difference.”

Camp activities are designed to enrich children both spiritually and physically. Our goal is to enrich the children’s relationship with God and with other young people and adults. Activities include daily Christian living and music classes, a zipline, swimming, horseback riding, outdoor games, team challenge, the climbing wall, arts and crafts, archery, slingshot, nature and exploring, mini farm animals and campus improvement. Fun-filled evening activities include game night, campfire sing-along, novelty olympics, a carnival and a treasure hunt. It’s a busy four days, but full of memories to take home and remember for years to come.

Many of the youth who volunteer at Camp Ironwood have attended the preteen camp for years and now return as teen staff to give back to the preteens the experience they enjoyed. Camp Ironwood also greatly appreciates the contributions of the dedicated and self-sacrificing parents and other adults who serve.

The campers also have “dorm dads and moms” who visit the dorms each evening for a short talk and prayer. Parents who come to serve and have an older child as well as a young child (age 2-5)—may bring the younger sibling, who can participate in day time mini dorm activities.
